Welcome to the famous We Three Loggerheads Bar/Restaurant

For around 300 years The Loggerheads Inn, as the pub was originally known, has stood beside the A494, Mold to Ruthin road — about 2 miles outside of Mold, directly opposite the Loggerheads Country Park in the heart of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The current name goes back to a mid 1700’s boundary dispute and the inn sign until 1928 was a painting, purported to be by Richard Wilson RA — depicting this event — which he produced whilst staying at Colomendy Hall.

The spacious and comfortable dining room at the rear of the pub was built in 1930 to compete with the tearooms erected across the road by the Crosville Motor Co. The Tea House was built to serve not just sightseers with their own transport but the crowds of travellers brought here by Crosville coach trips. Loggerheads remains a traditional excursion for the folk from Liverpool to this day.

Your hosts now are Paul and Lynda and their team. Our menu is now extensive, with chef's signature dishes and good old favourites such as liver, bacon and onions plus steak and Guinness pie. We have many other menu items, including sandwiches, house salads and children's dishes — as well as regular specials.
